S2S
  • Overview

Student to Student (S2S) is a program established in 2004 to help support transferring students adjust to their new school. Members of the student body who have been screened and selected as peer mentors are known as S2S Ambassadors. The ambassadors work together to create a welcoming and encouraging environment that supports academic excellence and inclusivity, in keeping with Dixon High School’s standards.

    Program Objectives

The objective of this program is to ensure all transitioning students are equipped for success while attending Dixon High School. The S2S Ambassadors help to alleviate the pressures of starting a new school by providing a tour, introducing new students to their teachers, and explaining our bell schedule. The ambassadors will also work together to create events and activities to help better our community and school.

    Program Activities

Led by the S2S Ambassadors, the program will offer:

    • Campus Tours
    • Support during Freshman Orientation/Parent Nights
    • Events for new students (lunches, meetings, etc.)
    • Events during Military Child Month
    • Coordinated events with 3rd Marine Raider Support Battalion to help support the community
