Mrs. Nicole Chase-Mapp

Welcome to 1st Grade! My name is Mrs. Chase-Mapp and I am going to be your 1st grade teacher!  This will be my second year teaching at Hunter’s Creek Elementary School. However, this will be my fourth year teaching 1st grade. I am looking forward to all the exploring, learning and fun we will get to have!

I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. 

I absolutely love reading and can't wait to teach you to love and enjoy reading as much as I do! We will also learn and explore during Science, Social Studies and Math. Besides reading, I love traveling, camping and fishing!

I was born on a little island called Barbados. Can you believe that North Carolina is bigger than Barbados?  I moved to North Carolina in 2010 with my husband and  two boys.

I am positive that we can have a great year in 1st grade and I can’t wait to spend the next year learning and growing with you! It will be filled with fun, lots of learning, some hard work and many wonderful memories.
