• Read to Achieve and 1st Grade Summer Reading Camp

    The OCS Read to Achieve and 1st Grade Reading Camp is an invitation-only summer camp designed to provide eligible students who were in first, second, or third grade during the 2023-2024 school year with an opportunity to continue receiving literacy instruction over the summer. Eligibility criteria is established by the NC General Assembly, the NC State Board of Education, and the NC Department of Public Instruction. Parents/guardians of eligible students received an invitation from their child’s school prior to the last day of instruction. Parents/guardians of students enrolled in Read to Achieve Reading Camp have received information regarding camp site location and transportation through email.
