Gina Anglin is the Military and Family Life Counselor at Southwest Elementary School. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Gina received her master’s degree at Western Carolina University. She has specialized in working with children and families since 2004 and with Military Families specifically since 2014 both as a Military and Family Life Counselor and with the New Parent Support Family Advocacy Program. Prior to working with military families, Gina was an intensive in-home therapist for children and their care givers; working with them in their home, school and in their community. Her prior experience also includes being a Parents as Teachers educator and Early Head Start home visitor with Asheville City Schools.
Gina enjoys swimming, the beaches of North Carolina, and nature walks in her spare time. She recently returned to her home state of North Carolina after living in Washington State, California and Kentucky while continuing to serve military families.
