I am originally from Rome, GA and have called Onslow County home for the past ten years.

I studied Music and Geography at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama and graduated with my BS in 2003.

I am currently working towards an M.A. in Science Education at East Carolina University.

This is my 2nd year teaching at Southwest Middle School, and I love it!!!!

I enjoy all genres of science, but my favorite subjects are meteorology and geology.

In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, watching Netflix, tracking the weather, knitting, and participating in activities at my church.

I am the queen of "dad jokes" and corny puns!

I am Mom to three amazing children - Madison (16), Olivia (14), and Owen (9).

As a family, we enjoy traveling to the mountains, exploring new areas, visiting national parks, and singing karaoke.
