Ms. Joanne S. Caratelli

I am SO excited to be a part of the Onslow Virtual School family again this year! This will be my 25th year teaching - my 11th in Onslow County Schools. Previously, I lived and worked in NY, on Long Island. (My NC students seem to think it's funny to hear my NY accent sometimes in class!) While I miss my family in NY, the Carolina Coast is such a beautiful place to live, work and raise my family - I'm so glad we made the move back in 2012!

I live in Cedar Point with my husband, Lou- a School Counselor at OVS, and 2 children, Tara & Andrew. Our 2 Goldendoodles Wilson and Charlie round out the family. 

When I'm not at work, I love to be in or on the water, out seeing a favorite band in concert, road tripping and traveling with my family, cheering my kids on playing sports or on stage, whipping up masterpieces in the kitchen, or just hanging out with my family and the doods at home.
