Mrs. Limbert

Hello there! I am so excited about being your teacher this year at Carolina Forest! This is my seventh year teaching in North Carolina Public schools and my ninth year in education. I have experience from volunteering in the Boys & Girls Club, teaching in childcare facilities, and in Wilson, Pitt, and Onslow County schools. I have taught infants, toddlers, pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First grade, Third Grade, and now Fifth! This will be my fourth year teaching in the upper elementary grades; however, I know that we will be able to dig deep into interesting content! I believe in relating the standards to exciting topics across the subjects to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge.

I am a Richlands High School alumni, class of '07. I am also a United States Marine, where I worked with creating and maintaining data systems for 5 years. After deciding to go back to school, I graduated in 2015 with my Associate's degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Pitt Community College and went on to East Carolina University to graduate in 2017 with my Bachelor's degree in Birth through Kindergarten. I became additionally licensed to teach all of elementary education in 2018. I am also currently enrolled and attending courses in the Master of Education in Elementary Mathematics graduate program at East Carolina University--I will be earning an additional certificate in Elementary Math Education this fall.

I love spending time with my husband and three children. We have FOUR dogs and I'm fostering one from a local rescue. The kids keep me on my toes, but the dogs are always stepping on them! When I'm not teaching, planning, and prepping, I enjoy reading, gardening, fishing, and swimming at the beach.
