Students will generate notes that include the following four elements: (1) factual information, (2) questions, (3) feelings and reactions and (4) connections that come to mind.
Students share with class, group or partners and revise their notes as needed.
Makes the note-taking process an active, engaging and personally meaningful one.
Use sentence stems to help students. For example, in the Feelings & Reactions quadrant students could use, "I really enjoyed ___," "I was impressed by ___," "I was inspired by ___," and "I was confused about ___."
