2. What are the Kindergarten admission requirements?

3. What information will I need to provide to enroll my child?
Posted by:- Official Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residence: A utility bill with a physical address.
- Photo ID of legal parent or guardian
The following documents are desired at registration and required within the first 30 days of enrollment:
- Updated Immunization Record
- Kindergarten Health Assessment (within 12 months prior to the beginning of school). Please click here to access a copy of the Kindergarten Health Assessment Form.

4. I am unable to enroll my child online. How may I enroll my child?
Posted by:- Parent(s)/guardian(s) are highly encouraged to complete the online registration process. If you are unable to enroll your child online, please contact the school where your child will be attending to make arrangements to register your child in person. We strongly recommend that you enroll your child as early as possible before the school year begins.

6. May my child attend a school other than his or her home school?
Posted by:- Unless your child is selected to attend one of the elementary magnet programs or is approved for out of district, your child must attend school in his/her home district. 8. Can my child attend Kindergarten this year if he/she reaches the age of 5 on or after September 1
Posted by:- According to North Carolina law, your child must reach the age of five on or before August 31. The only exception to this is if a parent/guardian obtains early admission status for the child.

10. When will my child start school in August?
Posted by:- OCS utilizes a 3-day staggered enrollment for Kindergarten. This means that your child’s first day will be one of the first 3 days of school. Your child’s school will notify you which day your child should report for his/her first day.
