The Battle of the Books (BOB) Team is a group of no more than twelve students who read and reread books chosen by the North Carolina School Library Media Association (NCSLMA). The tryout list is shared on this website in May for the following school year. Students take a test based on the tryout books in September or October. The tryout books are typed in red below. The students with the top scores on the test become the BOB Team. The BOB Team meets once a week in the fall and twice a week in January and February to get ready for a one-day competition at the end of February with other middle schools in the county.
