Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) is a way for schools to encourage good behavior. With PBIS, schools teach kids about appropriate behavior, just as they would teach about other subjects like reading or math. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. To supplement PBIS teaching, JCE also uses the PBIS Rewards website/app to award points to students for positive behavior. PBIS points can be used for purchases at the JCE School Store. Additionally accumulation of points also permits students to participate in quarterly PBIS celebrations.
