Heritage Elementary School of Richlands was formerly known as Richlands Primary School, which opened in 2001 and was the only K-2 school within the Onslow County School District.  As of July 1, 2018, we are now educationally a K-5 elementary school due to the large population of families that are choosing to reside in the Richlands district.  Richlands is a vibrant, family-friendly community with small-town charm and a historic central business area. With new opportunities, new technologies and strategic planning, this community is truly "a Great Place to Grow!" Richlands has been a very attractive building location in recent years due to its high quality of life and lower cost of living. Our attendance areas pull from both rural areas as well as a growing suburban population.
