    Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides course offerings that meet student needs, interests, abilities, and aspirations. 
    The availability of specific courses is determined by opportunities for employment, advanced education and practical life application.

    Starting in 5th grade, Onslow County students are given the opportunity to explore, prepare and train with skills that build success. 

    5th grade students participate in Major Clarity, Career Fairs and
    Careers on Wheels, Wings & Water (a free hands-on event with local vendors)


    Middle school students can participate in Major Clarity, have access to exploratory courses in 9 career clusters and 36 career pathways 
    with hands-on learning, guest speakers industry tours and more!

    High School students use Major Clarity, can compete in Trades day, earn credentials 
    and work-based learning in 16 different career clusters. You can learn more about those programs here

    Each high school has Career Development Coordinator (CDC) to support the middle and high school students with 
    school-to-career connection and facilitate business/industry partnerships.
