Mrs. Tie-Fanning

Hello! My name is Emily Tie (Fanning), and I am so excited to be teaching Second Grade at Coastal Elementary School this year! This is my fifth year teaching for Onslow County Schools, and living in North Carolina. I moved to North Carolina from New Jersey in June of 2019. I graduated from Stockton University in 2018, where I studied Elementary Education and Student Taught in a second grade classroom. Before officially making the move to Sneads Ferry, I worked in several 6th grade classrooms for Exceptional Children. 

It has always been my family's dream to relocate closer to the beach, and I am so glad we did. In my sparetime, you can find me taking bike rides along the shore with my husband, reading, and spending time with my family. I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in First Grade, so I can't wait to spread my joy of learning with my students. It is a privilege to be teaching your children, and I am excited for the best year yet!
