Welcome Falcons to Ms. Owens's Class! 

I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. I moved to Wilmington in 2017 to attend the Univeristy of North Carolina - Wilmington after two years at Wake Tech Community College.  I graduated from UNCW in December of 2019 with my Bachelor's in Physical Education and Health. While at UNCW, I was a member and president of the PE & Health Majors Club and was rewarded with Most Outstanding Graduate of the program.

I completed my student teaching in Fall of 2019 at Laney High School. Post graduation in December 2019, I began teaching at Trexler in January. I am continuing my education to get my Masters of Education in Physical Education and Health at UNCW on their online program.

While not working, I spend my time running, exercising, hanging with my cat (Riggins) and reading! I love the beach and take every opportunity I can to be on the beach.
