Hello,  I am so excited to be your CTE, Computer Science teacher!  

I have been teaching for over 25 years.  I taught the first 15 years of my career here in Onslow County at White Oak High School.  My husband and I moved to Florida to live near my step-daughter, Sydney.  I continued to teach Business Education in Florida for eight years until we moved near Atlanta, Georgia, where I spent three years teaching in a  project-based academy program called 3DE.  I started getting home sick, so my husband and I packed up our dogs and moved back to Onslow County.  This is my fourth year teaching computer science at Jacksonville Commons Middle School.

I believe in being a life-long learner.  I believe that education gives you the opportunity to make choices about life.  The more knowledge, skills, and experiences you have - the more opportunities you have to choose from.  My education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; a Masters Degree in Business, Vocational, and Technical Education; and a Masters Degree in Instructional Design.

My two favorite places in the world are the beach and my kitchen.  The beach is a place where I always feel at peace and can relax.  The kitchen is where I love to cook and have a meal or a  cup of coffee  with family and friends.
