My name is Valerie Tuton-Ligon and I will be your child's 5th grade teacher this year. Thank you for all your patience and understanding through this challenging time of transition. I will do my very best to make it as easy as possible.A little about me: I am married with 4 children ages 27,20,15, and 12. We also have a dog who is a high maintenace lab.
I currently have a Masters degree in Educational adminstration, a bachelors degree in Elementary education and an associates in computer technology. During my 13+ years of teaching, I have enjoyed being President of the Onslow County Reading Council, Montessori Directress, and a Science Olympiad Coach. Educating students has been a joy for me; I have loved every classroom, every student and their own personality, and the families I have met along the way.
