OCS CFO Receives Distinguished Service Award
OCS Chief Financial Officer Jeff Hollamon has been awarded the Lou Thompson Distinguished Service Award by the North Carolina Association of School Business Officials. On Friday, January 15, OCS staff worked with the NCASBO to surprise Mr. Hollamon with the news via video call.
Each year since 1995, NCASBO has recognized one member who has made substantial contributions to improve the organization and the school business official profession.

Dr. Christopher Barnes Named Regional POY
Dr. Christopher Barnes, principal of White Oak High School and 2020-2021 OCS Wells Fargo Principal of the Year, has been named the 2021 Wells Fargo Southeast Region Principal of the Year. The current NC Principal of the Year, Kisha Clemons, Barnes’ family, and a small group of district administrators surprised Barnes with the news at his school on January 12.

Meal Benefit Applications
The OCS School Nutrition office is currently accepting online and paper meal benefit applications.
Paper applications are being accepted by mail at P.O. Box 99, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
