I attended college at UNC Wilmington. I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I was National Board Certified in Literacy in 2007. My National Board Certification was approved for renewal in November 2016.

Experience

This school year I will complete my 25th year of teaching.  I have spent 9 years teaching at Hunters Creek Elementary and 16 years at Sand Ridge Elementary.  I have taught in kindergarten, first and second grade.  Currently, I am one of the Title 1 Reading Teachers.  I serve children in grades kindergarten, first, second, third and fifth grade. I hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and National Board Certification in Language and Literacy. 

Bio

My name is Gina Fenn.  I was born in Onslow county and have been fortunate to have my family close by as I grew up. I graduated from Swansboro High School and attended college at UNCW. I love the beach and any activity that involves our beautiful waters. We are big Carolina Hurricanes fans and enjoy going to hockey games.  I love teaching reading and writing to my students. It is an awesome experience to see them develop into confident readers and writers!
