I am originally from a small little town called Edenton, NC.  I attended UNC Wilmington after high school.  After college I moved to Onslow County to start my teaching career. This will be  my 18th year of teaching in the public school system. During the summer of 2010 I started online classes through the University of Phoenix.  I earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in November of 2011.

I married my wonderful husband, John, in the summer of 2005.  I gave birth to our first child in October of 2008. He will be in 6th grade this year. I gave birth to our second son in November 2014 and he will be in kindergarten this year.   We also have one dog that we love very much, a beagle, named Bailey who joined our family in April of 2007.

Experience

  • This will be my 18th year working with Onslow County Schools.   I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade.  Before entering the school system, I worked in private daycare for several years as both lead teacher and assistant.
