Ms. Erica Crawford

Hi There! I am newer to the Jacksonville area, having moved here at the tail end of 2023 with my two dogs and cat. I grew up in a small town called Perry, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa to earn my bachelor's in English and a Writing Certificate in Literary Publishing. Before deciding to pursue teaching, I worked with different publications as a writer and editor, and still do some freelance writing on the side. 

The decision to become a teacher is by far one of the easiest and best choices I've ever made. I grew up loving my high school English classes and am still an avid reader today. It's my goal to inspire students to overcome the challenges that life presents and give them the tools they need to navigate those obstacles. We can learn a lot from reading and writing, no matter the genre, and I hope to instill those valuable lessons and insights into each of my students!
