Mrs. Gill

Hello!  I'm Mrs. Gill and I have been the Title 1 Reading Interventionist for Southwest ES since October 2022.  Both of my parents were teachers, so I chose my career path at a very early age.  I was born and raised in California - go SF Giants!  I began teaching in 1994 immersed in the multicultural and multilingual Title 1 classrooms of California.  My international teaching experience includes seven years overseas at private schools in Taiwan, Thailand, Colombia, and Japan.  My husband and I returned to the U.S. during the summer of 2022. We chose Onslow County to be closer to family. After living out of suitcases for seven years, we're happy to have a home and two dogs (Nessa and Orla).  I'm excited about coming to SWES each and every day to help students grow and achieve their goals!
