Ms. Nishikawa: Sparking Curiosity in 6th Grade Science

Hello, I'm Ms. Nishikawa!

I am a 6th grade science teacher at Jacksonville Commons Middle School. My favorite colors are Teal and Purple! I love technology and computers.

When I'm not teaching, I'm a proud mom of two middle-school aged daughters and share my home with two cute but crazy Goldendoodle pups! We also have two cats. Nature and fitness are my escapes and self-care – from beach visits as often as I can to weekly runs and bike rides. I strive to be active daily!

I hold a BS in education from UNCW and am completing a master's in instructional technology this year! My teaching style evolves through continuous learning and reflection, I am alway trying to help my students engage with science and understand how to think critically about the world around us.
