Ms. Abby Hyde

Welcome! My name is Abby Hyde. I am from a small town in Pennsylvania and I have lived in Onslow County for two years. I graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in New Paris, PA, then went on to attend college at Penn State (We Are!). 

I love this area, and I enjoy being so close to the beach, which is where I spend most of my free time. Along with being an avid beach-goer, I also enjoy going to hockey and baseball games (big Pittsburgh fan), film photography, and reading.

I love sharing my passion for reading with my students. First-grade is such an exciting time in a child's life, as there's so much to learn and do throughout the year. It's amazing to see how much they grow as readers, and I love getting to share those ah-ha! moments with them when they accomplish something new! 

This is my 2nd year teaching first grade, and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else! :)
