OCS Technology Use Featured in Microsoft Video
Onslow County Schools was recently featured in a video on Microsoft Education’s official YouTube channel. OCS is the number one user of Microsoft Teams for Education in the world, and the video highlights the district’s success with integrating technology into instruction. Teachers and staff across the county use Microsoft Teams and Microsoft OneNote to organize and digitize their classrooms. Featured in the video are staff and students talking about how technology and Microsoft products have improved the learning experience.

Board of Education Extends Deadline for Public Input on Superintendent Search
The Onslow County Board of Education continues to seek direct input from interested members of the community and staff to help shape the superintendent search process and to assist in defining the qualities and characteristics desired in the next superintendent of the Onslow County Schools. However, due to Hurricane Florence and its impact on the schools and the community, the board has extended the deadline to complete the online surveys and otherwise provide input to the board.
All surveys must now be completed by Tuesday, November 27, 2018, with results to be compiled, summarized, and presented by NCSBA at the regular board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
